Meet The Community

Dylan has been doing stand-up for 3 years having first started at open mics in Brisbane,  and Perth, Australia. He performs regularly at professional clubs in Japan and bleeds Kansai Comedy. You'll catch him as host or headliner! 

While he may be new comedy Leul is busy behind the scenes making sure each of our shows come together and run seamlessly. He speaks perfect Japanese but still can't run a marathon like everyone else from Ethiopia

Cool, calm collected and Californian. Ethan is new to the community, but an up and comer. He doesn't only jump on the mic, he hosts and hustles behind the scenes to make us look great online and grow our brand. 

This sheep shagger from New Zealand helped start Kansai Comedy in late 2024. He's now performing in the US of A. Check out his YouTube!

Our resident chinese spy, not sure where he is these days. Dan does shows here and there and when he does appear he charms audiences with intimate crowd work and cultural delights. We love you Dan! 

Steve has "awkward Dad" energy and being the good father that he is, leaves his family in Nagoya to come to Kansai to perform regularly at our shows! Steve had a great year in 2025 and is growing the comedy scene in Nagoya!

Nobu is a savvy Japanese entrepreneur and owner of venue Cloud Infinity. He has performed with us several times doing standup and English manzai

Craig is an Aussie expat living in Kyoto, he's not just an epic tour guide, but a wonderful storyteller and bloody funny bloke! He's new but one to watch as the scene grows in Kyoto.

Rui (pronounced Ray) is an up and comer! But I can't say anything else here because she's Chinese and they might be listening.

Viraj came across from local improv group KFC and has performed both improv and standup at our shows in Osaka and Kyoto! A very heartwarming chap and infectious comedian

Quin is an Osakan local, working at Universal Studios Japan. He is the talented community creative behind our branding and Hyottoko-themed logo! Still hasn't come to a show yet though, so we didn't let him write his bio.
